Beena Sarwar, a Pakistani peace activist who founded the South Asia Peace Action Network (sapan). “sapan” is a non-profit organization that works to promote peace and understanding between the people of South Asia.
Beena Sarwar was born in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1963. She has done BA in Studio Art and English Literature from Brown University also worked as a journalist for several years. In the early 2000s, she became involved in the peace movement in South Asia. She co-founded “Sapan” in 2021 with a group of other activists.
